10 Toll Roads Built by Jokowi Until 2020

The toll road infrastructure is one of the public facilities that plays an important role in supporting economic activities. Land transportation remains one of the cornerstones of intercity and interprovincial trade. In Indonesia, operational activities and management are carried out by toll road business entities (BUJT).
Toll roads built by Jokowi are infrastructure targeted to be completed to support more efficient business and economic activities during his administration. Entering his second term, here are ten toll roads that have been completed and are operational as of 2020.
Terpeka Toll Road
The operation of the Terbanggi Besar—Pematang Panggang—Kayu Agung (Terpeka) toll road was opened on November 15, 2019. This 189 km long toll road is managed by PT Hutama Karya.
JORR 2 Toll Road
The toll road access in Jabodetabek is one of the busy toll routes connecting economic activities in Jakarta. On December 6, 2019, the Kunciran—Serpong toll road, which is 11.2 km long, began operating under the management of PT Marga Trans Nusantara.
Japek Elevated Toll Road
The construction of this toll road took quite a long time, especially with the high mobility of road users, particularly on weekends. However, the construction of this elevated toll road was finally completed on December 12, 2019, in cooperation with PT Waskita Karya Tbk. and Acset.
Balsam Toll Road
The Balikpapan—Samarinda (Balsam) toll road, which was operational on December 17, 2019, is projected to connect access to the National Capital in Penajam Paser Utara and Kutai Kertanegara. This 64.87 km long toll road is managed by PT Jasa Marga Balikpapan Samarinda.
Kayu Agung – Jaka Baring Toll Road
Managed by PT Waskita Sriwijaya Tol (Waskita Karya), this toll road began operating on April 1, 2020. This 29.39 km long toll road connects access from Kayu Agung – Palembang – Betung.
Pakis – Malang Toll Road
On April 7, 2020, PT Jasamarga Pandaan Malang also began operating the Pandaan—Malang (Pakis—Malang) toll road. The construction of this section five of the toll road is quite short, only 3.11 km.
Brigif – Sawangan Toll Road
A significant change also occurred in the access to the Depok – Antasari toll road. This toll road was officially opened on July 3, 2020, and was free for two weeks. The management of this 6.3 km long toll road was then taken over by PT Citra Waspphutowa starting July 3, 2020.
Banda Aceh – Sigli Toll Road
This 14 km long toll road also began operating on August 25, 2020, after passing the functional feasibility requirements both administratively, technically, and from the toll operational system. The Banda Aceh—Sigli toll road is managed by PT Hutama Karya.
Permai Toll Road
This toll road is part of the Trans Sumatra toll road that has been operational since September 25, 2020. The Pekanbaru—Dumai toll road, which is 131 km long, is managed by PT Hutama Karya.
Manado–Bitung Toll Road
The management of the Manado – Bitung toll road is carried out by PT Jasamarga Manado Bitung since September 29, 2020. This 21 km long toll road has been built since 2017 and is designed to integrate the Special Economic Zone (KEK) in Bitung with the Tourism KEK in North Minahasa.
