The natural charm of NTT (East Nusa Tenggara) as a tourist destination has recently gained popularity. Upon further exploration, it turns out there are still many other tourist spots in NTT that are just as stunning as Labuan Bajo. 

As we know, East Nusa Tenggara is one of the provinces in Indonesia dominated by three major islands, namely Flores, Sumba, and western Timor. Its tourist attractions are inseparable from the charm of beaches, hills, and breathtaking nature. 

It’s no wonder that when visiting NTT, you will find something different that cannot be found in other regions. Curious about what interesting tourist spots are in NTT? Here we have summarized 11 tourist attractions in NTT that have amazing charm. 

1. Komodo National Park 

This destination is the most popular in NTT. Its tourist appeal is not only due to its unique nature but also the endemic flora and fauna such as the Komodo dragon, whose natural habitat is still preserved to this day. Although considered a wild and rare animal, tourists can visit this area, of course, accompanied by rangers or tour guides. 

Location: West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. 

Operating hours: This tourist attraction is open 24 hours a day. However, if you want to see the Komodo dragons in their natural habitat, it’s best to visit during daylight hours.

Entrance Fee: Starting from Rp5,000 - Rp150,000. 

2. Mount Kelimutu 

Mount Kelimutu is a volcano located on Flores Island, NTT Province, Indonesia. The mountain is not very high, only about 1,639 meters above sea level, but to reach its peak, you must be prepared with excellent physical condition due to the steep terrain with almost flat slopes and rocky paths. Perfect for those who love challenges. 

Location: Pemo Village, Kelimutu District, Ende Regency, NTT. 

Operating hours: 24 hours 

Entrance Fee: Starting from Rp7,500/person for domestic tourists. 

3. Pink Beach 

The stretch of pink sand is a unique attraction for Pink Beach. The color of the sand is very striking, especially if you visit in the morning or evening while enjoying the sunset. 

Location: Komodo National Park, Kasimo Road, Labuan Bajo District, West Manggarai Regency, NTT. 

Operating hours: 24 hours 

Entrance Fee: Rp5,000 (including all attractions within Komodo National Park). 

4. Kelimutu National Park 

Kelimutu National Park has stunning natural charm. It consists of rolling hills, mountains, and the beauty of the Three Color Lakes. In Kelimutu National Park, there is a place called Arboretum. The Arboretum is a forest covering 4.5 hectares that serves as a collection area for various flora and fauna.

The diversity of flora stored here includes around 100 species from 36 families, and there are endemic species of Kelimutu, namely turuwara (Rhododendron renschianum) and uta onga (Begonia kelimutuensis). Other endemic wildlife includes the garugiwa bird, lawo rat, deke, wawi ndua, srigunting, and many more. 

Location: Detusoko, Ende, NTT 

Operating hours: Every day from 05:00-18:00 WITA. 

Entrance Fee: Rp5,000 (Domestic tourists) and Rp150,000 (foreign tourists). 

5. Kalong Island 

This small island with dense forests surrounded by blue sea is home to thousands of large bats. The best time to see the bats flying around the island is in the evening. During the day, they only perch on tree branches. 

However, do not attempt to enter this island. There are still some dangerous animals like pythons that inhabit Kalong Island. This is what makes Kalong Island untouched by humans and its habitat must be preserved. 

Location: Labuan Bajo Archipelago, West Manggarai, NTT. 

Operating hours: Until 17:00 WITA to see the bats' activities from the boat. 

Entrance Fee: Free, just passing by or viewing from the boat. 

6. Kelimutu Lake 

The beauty of Kelimutu Lake can be enjoyed in the area of Mount Kelimutu, which is at an altitude of 1,631 meters above sea level. The Three Color Lake is an iconic tourist destination in this area. Why is it iconic? Because the lake has the unique ability to change colors, sometimes blue, red, and turquoise green. 

Location: Detusoko District, Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.

Operating hours: 05:00-18:00 WITA.

Entrance Fee: Rp5,000

7. Nihiwatu Beach 

This beach with white sand stretching 2.5 km is one of the top ten beaches in Asia. It’s no wonder that many foreign tourists visit to enjoy the stunning waves and beach. Various activities that can be done at Nihiwatu Beach include horseback riding, sunbathing, snorkeling, diving, and fishing. 

Location: Waikabubak, West Sumba, NTT 

Operating hours: 24 hours 

Entrance Fee: Specifically for resort guests staying overnight. 

8. Weekuri Lagoon 

Weekuri Lake is among the 11 tourist spots in NTT that have amazing charm. This lake is an exotic saltwater lake. 

The panorama of rocky cliffs, large trees, and the clear turquoise green lake water provides an extraordinary experience for anyone who visits. 

Location: Kalena Rongo Village, Kodi Utara District, Southwest Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. 

Operating hours: 08:00-17:00 WITA. 

Entrance Fee: No official information, meaning free. However, there are some costs that must be paid when visiting Weekuri Lake, such as tour guides and parking fees ranging from Rp50,000-100,000. 

9. Inerie Mountain 

Inerie Mountain is not very high compared to other mountains. Its height only reaches 2,245 meters above sea level, but its beauty is undeniable. The mountain is beautiful, and from a distance, it has a perfect triangular shape. This mountain is also suitable for climbers who want to enjoy a hike in a pristine atmosphere. At the foot of the mountain, there is also the famous traditional village of Bena. 

Location: Flores Island, Ngada Regency, Bajawa, NTT. 

Operating hours: 24 hours 

Entrance Fee: Free 

10. Rangko Cave 

Rangko Cave is quite remote, so not many tourists have visited. This cave has the natural beauty of a pool with blue water. The stalactites and stalagmites hanging inside the cave are also formed naturally. 

Rangko Cave is also a safe cave for swimming. Visitors do not need to worry about strange animals, as this cave is not a bat habitat.&
