5 Types of Weather in Indonesia You Must Know
The Earth has various weather conditions that often occur due to the movements made by the sun and the moon.
However, the weather can differ from one region to another. Nevertheless, the differences in weather between these regions can change at any time.
Therefore, here are some types of weather in Indonesia that you must know.
1. Clear Weather
As is known, weather is the condition of the air that occurs at a certain time and in a certain area. But this happens over a short period.
For example, in clear weather, which describes when the sun shines brighter and the air feels very fresh. Usually, clear weather does not indicate that it will rain.
At this time, the wind blows gently and feels very cool. Then during the day, clouds will appear lined up thinly like clean white cotton.
Many people feel enthusiastic when the weather is clear like this.
Even when the sun rises or sets, bright red and yellow colors can be seen. At night, the stars are very clear.
2. Hot Weather
The second type of weather in Indonesia is hot. When the dry season comes, the air will feel very dry. The cause of the dry air is none other than the sun shining very intensely.
Then when midday arrives, the sunlight will be almost directly overhead
which can reach 30 degrees Celsius.
Not only that, altitude also plays a role in making the air feel hotter.
The higher a place or region is, the lower the air pressure will be. That is why, temperatures in highlands are cooler compared to lowlands or flat areas.

3. Cloudy Weather
As the name suggests, this type of weather is indeed filled with clouds. This means that many clouds will fill the sky. Even the presence of these clouds can cover the sunlight.
As a result, the surface temperature of the earth does not feel as hot as the previous weather. Typically, this type of weather in Indonesia is called overcast.
You will find several clouds clustering in the sky and forming large clouds. This gathering of clouds has the potential to become overcast, indicating that rain is coming.
The thicker the clouds cluster and change color to black or gray, the more it indicates that heavy rain will fall accompanied by other conditions.
4. Cold and Windy Weather
Usually, cold weather in a region is marked by high humidity levels. In addition, it is accompanied by lower air temperatures and very strong winds.
This cold weather sometimes occurs in several regions at certain altitudes. Due to the low air temperature and the abundance of wind.
Meanwhile, windy weather can be identified by the fast-blowing wind. Typically, this causes various objects to scatter.
Even if the wind moves very quickly and heavily, it can cause trees or buildings to collapse. Therefore, wind speed can be measured using a device called an anemometer.
5. Rainy Weather
The process of the sun heating water on earth, including seawater, rivers, and lakes, causes rain to occur. This happens because this type of weather in Indonesia consists of water vapor.
Thus, the accumulation of water vapor forms clusters of clouds. Once it reaches a certain temperature, the water vapor will turn into droplets that fall to the earth.
Indonesia is indeed known as a subtropical region, which consists of only two seasons, namely the rainy season and the dry season.
However, besides the seasons, the Mother Earth has various types of weather caused by sunlight or other factors. These various weathers will also affect human activities in their daily lives.
