Do These 5 Things If Your Boss Can't Collaborate

Instead of continuing to complain and criticize your boss who is difficult to work with, it would be better for you to find a way to communicate with him.
In the working world, not everyone is lucky enough to have a good boss who can collaborate. Some of us have issues with discomfort with our bosses. In fact, bosses greatly influence our success, especially in terms of career advancement. As an employee, you certainly cannot be selfish or want to win alone and demand your boss to be kind because of your lower position in the office.
So, instead of continuing to complain and criticize your boss who is difficult to work with, it would be better for you to find a way to communicate with him. Yes, he is indeed annoying, but he is still the one who determines how much your bonus is. So, no matter how difficult it is to communicate with him, you must still try, for example with the following tips.
1. Understand His Life and Problems at the Office
First, understand why your boss is difficult to work with. There’s a saying, "where there’s sugar, there are ants." We shouldn't suddenly feel annoyed if our boss behaves annoyingly; instead, we must dare to introspect ourselves and find out what causes our boss to behave that way.
First, it could be that your boss is not satisfied with your work results. As a superior, he certainly has greater responsibilities and burdens compared to us. Therefore, if we keep making mistakes, it’s only natural that it triggers emotions.
Second, perhaps he is uncomfortable with our communication style. Everyone indeed has different characters. Try to check yourself or ask a friend to assess your communication style. Is it possible that you are not a good listener or tend to interrupt conversations?
Third, try to understand his other side. He might be facing other problems outside of work. So, try to understand that your boss is also an ordinary human being who has his own background and problems in life.
2. Show Your Best Performance
Show your hard work so that your boss is proud of you. You must think positively. Make this a challenge in your work. Boost your creativity to produce better work. Be a good listener for every instruction given and make sure you really understand what is assigned. You can also make work notes to help confirm that all tasks assigned have been completed.
3. Be a Friend
Don’t just build a working relationship, but also establish a friendship with your boss. A person's comfort towards us is one of the factors that can create good synergy. Try to create comfort with your boss by being a good friend. Start small talk about things outside of work, such as asking about hobbies or activities he usually does during holidays. Or you could try recommending fun vacation spots to visit during holidays.
4. Give Compliments
Give compliments to your boss so that he always has a good mood towards you. You can also soften your boss's heart with some compliments that can prove that you need him to guide and provide input for your future career. For example, say something like, “If it weren't for my patient boss teaching me, I wouldn't have been able to finish this. Thanks!”
5. Talk Directly
Communicate with your boss so that problems can be resolved well. If the methods above have not succeeded in solving this problem, try communicating it directly with him. But remember, the purpose of this conversation is not to find out who is right or wrong, but to discuss so that this does not need to drag on. Try to express it politely and ask your boss to help evaluate and provide solutions so that a good working relationship can be created as expected.
The factors of comfort and good synergy among employees are significant factors that influence a team's performance. If the working relationship between employees and bosses can run well, then the targets given to the team will be easier to achieve. And this can have a positive effect on the quality of work and lead to career advancement for you within the company you work for. Hopefully, the tips above can inspire colleagues who are experiencing difficulties in collaborating with their bosses. Good luck!
