How to Get to Lembang from Jakarta by Train, Economical and Comfortable

 Lembang District is located in West Bandung. Its area borders Subang and is the most popular tourist destination in Bandung.

Well, if you friends living in Jakarta want to go to Lembang, taking the train is the most enjoyable alternative. Moreover, train tickets can be obtained at a low price.

Train Tickets only Rp20,000

Traveling by train is certainly a pleasure for some people. Besides not having to drive, allowing you to sleep during the journey, traveling by train is also cheaper compared to planes or travel services.

To get to Lembang from Jakarta by train, you can only get off at the stations in Bandung, namely Hall Station and Kiaracondong Station, which is closer to Lembang.

The ticket prices vary, depending on what you choose. There are two available trains: KA Argo Parahyangan and KA Serayu.

If you choose to use KA Argo Parahyangan, you must board it from Gambir Station and it will stop at Hall Station. The train class is business with a ticket price of Rp35,000 and executive with a price of Rp70,000.

There is KA Serayu which can offer a cheaper price compared to Argo Parahyangan. You can board it from Jakarta Kota and will be dropped off at Kiaracondong Station. The ticket price is only Rp20,000 for the economy class.

More Economical with Local Trains

In addition to using KA Serayu for Rp20,000, you can spend only Rp14,000 for the train journey to Lembang from Jakarta. Much cheaper, right?

The chosen train is a local train. However, by using this local train, you must transit once and change routes, first to Purwakarta and then choose the route to Bandung.

From Jakarta, you can go to Tanjung Priok Station or Kemayoran Station and then choose KA Walahar Ekspres which will take you to Purwakarta for only Rp6,000. After arriving in Purwakarta, you can take KA Cibatu heading to Bandung for a ticket price of Rp8,000.

You can book tickets 3 hours before the train departs. The departure schedule for KA Walahar Ekspres at Tanjung Priok is three times, namely 09.55, 11.05, and 16.15. If from Kemayoran, it starts at 10.16, 11.24, and 16.36. For KA Cibatu, there are only two schedules available, which are in the morning at 04.20 and in the afternoon at 15.45.

Using Public Transportation for More Savings

After finding an alternative way to Lembang from Jakarta by train at a very budget-friendly price, don't forget to also think about saving while in Lembang, friends. Because the train only goes to Bandung, it means you will also need to spend more to get to Lembang.

You can use the Damri Bus. This bus is the most popular due to its frequent departure schedule, easy to find, and very cheap ticket prices. To get to Lembang from Bandung station, you only need to pay Rp2,000 for the economy class and Rp3,000 for the air-conditioned bus. Very cheap, right?

If you are vacationing in Lembang with a group of friends, you can rent a car for more flexibility if you want to go anywhere. The rental price is Rp350,000 per day. Practical and more comfortable.
