• First, download the Google Maps app on your smartphone if you haven't already. If the app is already installed on your smartphone, just open the Google Maps app by tapping the app icon on your smartphone's home screen.
• Next, type in the destination you want to record. You can manually enter your travel destination or select the destination on the Google Maps map feature. It's easy; just tap the “Search” icon, then type the location or address of your destination. If the journey you are about to record has been visited before, Google Maps will recognize the destination address and automatically show the route to the address you are heading to.
• Next, select the icon with the transportation tool. Choose according to the mode of transportation you are using, for example, a car. Then select the route you want, and Google Maps will provide the best route along with the estimated travel time.
