The pink color that appears on Pink Beach is a phenomenon where the shells of the dead coral Homotrema rubrum, which are indeed pink, accumulate on the beach. Not only that, but it is also caused by fragments of pink coral and other marine animals that have a color close to pink.
Of course, this phenomenon did not form in a short time. It took a long time and happened repeatedly until it became exactly like what you see today.

Route to Pink Beach
The route to Pink Beach NTT is quite limited. You can only reach it by sea and air transportation. However, traveling by sea is more affordable.
If you depart from Tanjung Benoa Bali to Labuan Bajo by boat, the travel time is about 1 day. However, if you depart from Denpasar Bali, you can take a bus to Labuan Bajo. This bus will eventually also take a ferry. If you use a plane, it only takes about 30 minutes from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo.
After you arrive in Labuan Bajo, you can rent various equipment that will be used at Pink Beach. This includes snorkeling gear, diving gear, sunbathing equipment, etc. From Labuan Bajo, you head to Loh Liang Komodo Island using a ferry.
Once you arrive at Loh Liang, you can walk to Pink Beach, but the travel time is 4 hours. A quicker way is to take a boat from Loh Liang to Pink Beach.
