What is special about Pintu Kota Ambon Beach?
This beach has beautiful views with a slightly sandy beach type dominated by rocks. Pintu Kota Ambon Beach resembles a bay, which is a type of rocky and stony beach.
Here, there is a cliff that juts out into the sea and has a hole. The hole has a unique shape like an archway and has become an icon of this beach. An exotic gate, that's what it is called.
With cliff walls made of sharp dark brown coral rocks, it looks very contrasting with the sea and sky, making the beauty of this cliff appear exotic.
When the tide is high, waves from the sea can break through the coral cliffs and reach both sides. The combination of reddish-brown cliffs being hit by waves creates beautiful splashes of water!
At the hole in the coral, if we stand at the edge of the beach, we can see Banda Sea directly through that hole.
The sandy beach area is very small. The footing around the beach is dominated by quite sharp rocks, so you need to be careful when stepping between the rocks.
Not for swimming!
This beach area is not for swimming, as it is rocky, has very strong waves, and sharp rocks.
If you visit here, don't forget the beauty of the white sand while enjoying the panorama stretching along the beach because the view is very beautiful. There are small boats anchored as a backdrop.
This beach is also often used as a location for photography. Besides the beautiful beach, this location is also a favorite for divers because it offers diving spots with stunning underwater views.
However, to reach those spots, you need to take a speedboat or a local fisherman's boat.
