Airfare Drops 10% Welcoming Nataru

JAKARTA, NOVEMBER 2024, Get ready, Daihatsu friends! In welcoming Christmas and New Year 2025, the government has set a policy regarding flight ticket rates. Officially, the government announced a reduction in domestic flight ticket prices by up to 10 percent during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2024/2025 period. 

  “The reduction in ticket prices is to help our community and also stimulate the economy, including tourism. Therefore, all these elements, including reducing costs or services at airports, including aviation fuel and of course fuel surcharges, can reduce ticket prices by approximately 10 percent,” said Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development.

Intervention Cuts 

The government is moving quickly to address the issue of flight ticket rates. At least this is driven by three important interventions, namely a 50 percent reduction in airport service fees, a 5.3 percent discount on aviation fuel from the previous month, and an 8 percent reduction in fuel surcharges for jet engines.

Save Rp 157,500/Ticket 

The calculations can also be pressed. This intervention can reduce flight ticket prices by up to 9.9 percent. The estimated total savings reach Rp 472.5 billion during the holiday period. Thus, with this calculation, Daihatsu friends save an average of Rp 157,500 per ticket.

Airports and Applicable Period 

Based on data, the impact of this policy will be felt by all categories of passengers, from full-service to no-frills services. This reduction applies at 19 major airports in Indonesia from December 19, 2024, to January 3, 2025.
