But did you know that there are so many other places in Jakarta that you can explore if you want to recreate in a different way and not just the same old places? Therefore, this article will present several attractions that you might want to try while traveling in Jakarta, our beloved capital city. Here are the reviews.

Tourist Attractions in Jakarta for Art Lovers

1. Alive Museum

This museum is located within the Taman Impian Jaya Ancol area, open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 AM to 9 PM. If a national holiday falls on a Monday, the museum will still operate. Unlike most museums that present various historical artifacts, the Alive Museum offers a unique visualization of several famous figures from around the world made into wax statues.

These figures include politicians, influential people, singers, and Hollywood movie stars, all of whom can be found in this museum. So now you don't need to go abroad just to take photos with your dream artists. Oh, and for Kpop fans, there are also many wax figures of Korean artists that you can use as photo objects. Besides the wax statues, the spots in this museum are also perfect for enhancing your personal social media.

The Wayang Museum building, which still retains the strong European style from the colonial era, has been preserved to this day with a homely feel that makes everyone comfortable being inside. In addition to seeing wayang, you can also watch theater performances and short courses about the process of making wayang here. So you are visiting a tourist spot for recreation while also educating yourself.

3. Textile Museum

This museum is located very close to Tanah Abang. You can visit every day except Monday, from 9 AM to around 3 PM. In this museum, you will be presented with various traditional fabrics from Sabang to Merauke, as well as the tools used to make those fabrics, such as looms, batik tools, and everything related to fabric production.

You will also see various collections of plants used as dye substances for traditional fabric threads. Don't worry about getting confused, because here you can first watch in a mini theater how the history and culture of textiles in Indonesia have evolved from the past to today. After learning many things, you can also buy souvenirs in the form of books and tools for fabric making. If you're curious, you are welcome to follow the fabric-making process in the Batik Pavilion area that has been opened to the public.
