The journey of Astra DaiAstra Daihatsu Motor's journey began in 1973, when Astra obtained permission to import Daihatsu vehicles into Indonesia. Three years later, in 1976, PT Astra International became the sole agent, importer, and official distributor of Daihatsu vehicles in Indonesia.hatsu Motor (ADM) began in 1973, when Astra obtained permission to import Daihatsu vehicles to Indonesia. Since then, other Daihatsu subsidiaries have been established in Indonesia, namely PT Daihatsu Indonesia for steel plate production (1978), PT Daihatsu Engine Manufacturing Indonesia (DEMI) as an engine factory (1983), and PT Nasional Astra Motor, which replaced PT Astra International as the sole agent and importer of Daihatsu cars (1987).

In 1992, the three companies merged to form a large company, PT Astra Daihatsu Motor. Until now, Astra Daihatsu Motor continues to innovate to make life better, especially in mobility and connectivity.
