With the theme GROW FOR BETTER TOMORROW, Daihatsu always wants to grow with the Indonesian people through mobility towards a better sustainable future, one of which is by collaborating with Dus Duk Duk to display the Sigra Carboard which has attracted the attention of visitors at GIIAS.
Sigra Cardboard is a work of art of Sigra car made from used cardboard sheets with a scale of 1:1 and has the same size as the original model. Daihatsu Sigra became the inspiration for the chosen model because it is one of the main choices of young Indonesian families as their first car.
"During the 2024 GIIAS event, we also present a sustainability program as an educational entertainment medium, one of which is through the Sigra car made of cardboard with a real scale (1:1) as an inspiration for the creation of environmentally friendly used materials. Daihatsu is committed to contributing by providing better mobility, while growing together with the Indonesian people towards a sustainable future," said Yasushi Kyoda, President Director of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor.
As one of the educational entertainment facilities in providing new experiences to visitors, Sigra Cardboard is made from around 70 large sheets of environmentally friendly used cardboard with a thickness of 4 mm measuring 120 x 240 cm. All materials used are made from 100% natural cardboard that has gone through an industrial recycling process.
The making of Sigra Cardboard takes about 3 weeks with the development process starting from the Design stage; Structure and Pattern; Cut and Assemble; Installation and Finishing; and Maintenance.
