The cleanliness of the car's interior will certainly support the comfort of its passengers or users. Usually, what often happens is that the car seats are dirty or stained, making users feel uncomfortable and reluctant to sit.
Dirt or stains on the seats usually accumulate when you bring small children. Spills of milk or food from them often dirty our car seats. If the spills are not cleaned up immediately, they will make the seats dirty and eventually cause an unpleasant odor.
Unlike clothing, removing stains from seats also requires a special method. Because, the way to remove stains from clothes is not the same as the way to clean stains from car seats. Here’s how to clean dirty car seats.
1. Prepare materials such as two tablespoons of dish soap, two tablespoons of baking soda, two glasses of hot water, a bucket, a brush, a sponge, a clean towel, and additional air freshener.
2. The next step is to clean the car seats from all the dirt that sticks. If there are spills, first clean the solid dirt using a vacuum or you can use a chamois.
3. Fill the bucket with warm water, then pour in the cleaning solution or soap and baking soda. After that, stir everything quickly.
4. Scrub the car seats with that solution. Then rub and scrub all parts of the dirty car seats in a circular and even motion.
5. After the car seats are clean, dampen the towel with cold water. Wipe the entire surface of the seats with that towel to dry them. Next, open the car windows so that sunlight can dry your wet seats.
6. Dry the seats with a vacuum and then spray air freshener on the seats to add a pleasant scent.
