As is known, one of the biggest problems often faced by those planning to buy a new car is selling their old car first. Selling an old or used car is certainly not as easy as it seems. Sometimes the used car can be sold quickly, but at other times it can take months or even years to sell.

However, with the existence of the vehicle exchange program or trade-in, this problem can be effectively addressed. In conclusion, car trade-in is the process of selling a used car to an outlet or car dealer, and then purchasing a new car from that same outlet or dealer.

The trade-in program is generally used in the buying and selling transactions of mobile phones or mobile phone exchanges. However, currently, the trade-in program is also used for car exchanges. To help you better understand what trade-in is, you need to know how this program works. The working process is as follows.

  1. Customers who wish to participate in the trade-in program must visit the outlet or car dealer where the exchange will take place.
  2. Customers must order a new car from the outlet or car dealer where the trade-in process will occur.
  3. Once the new car order is approved by the dealer, the dealer will check the condition of the car you wish to sell or exchange for the new car. Typically, the dealer will check the physical condition of the car, the completeness of the documents, and conduct a test drive to assess the car's performance.
  4. After the inspection, the dealer will provide a price offer for the used car that will be exchanged for the new car.
  5. If the customer purchases the new car from the dealer on credit, the price of the customer's used car can be used as a payment for the TDP (Total Down Payment).
  6. If the customer agrees with the dealer's estimate of the selling price of the used car, the dealer will deliver the new car.
