How to Check Car Tax on STNK, Easy and Fast!
Do you already know how to check car tax on the STNK? If not, then you must know it. This method can be an alternative choice when you don't have much time to go to the Samsat or if you don't have internet credit. Instead of being more curious, let's pay attention to the method below.
How to Easily and Quickly Check Car Tax on STNK
Every car operating on the roads is required to pay taxes according to the tariff regulations set by the Government. If the car owner does not pay the tax according to the established payment deadline, the owner will be subject to a penalty fine. If the fine is not paid, the car cannot renew its annual or five-year tax. As a result, the car's STNK can be blocked by Korlantas and considered as a ghost car.
To avoid this, car owners must know how to check car tax. To check the amount of tax, you can do it online through the official e-Samsat website, the e-Samsat application, or using SMS and USSD services.
In addition, you can check the tax offline by going directly to the Samsat. However, this method is still considered less efficient, so you need to know another way, which is by looking at the STNK. The steps are as follows.
1. Prepare Your Car's STNK
First, prepare your car's STNK before checking the car tax amount.
2. Look at the Back of the STNK
Next, open your STNK and look at the back. Specifically, on the STNK sheet that has been stamped with the TNKB stamp that has been submitted. Then pay attention to the right side which has the columns “Pokok”, “Sanksi ADM”, and “Jumlah”.
These columns are right below the columns “NO. SKUM” and “NO.KOHIR”. In the right content of these columns, there are several columns that each explain the details of the vehicle tax.
- PKB: is an abbreviation for Motor Vehicle Tax. This type of tax is usually 1.5% of the selling price of the motor vehicle according to the regulations agreed upon by the Dispenda (Regional Revenue Office). The selling price of the motor vehicle is obtained from the APM (Authorized Brand Agent) and its selling price will decrease every year.
- SWDKLLJ: is an abbreviation for Mandatory Contribution for Road Traffic Accident Fund. SWDKLLJ is a tax or contribution paid to Jasa Raharja as insurance in case of an accident.
- STNK Adm Fee: this column can be interpreted as the administration fee for STNK (Vehicle Registration Certificate). This fee is usually paid when changing the name of the vehicle or changing the vehicle plate every five years. Meanwhile, for new vehicles, the STNK administration fee is waived.
- TNKB Adm Fee: this column can be interpreted as the administration fee for TNKB (Motor Vehicle Number Sign). This administration fee is usually paid for the printing cost of the vehicle plate every five years.
To find out the total car tax imposed, you just need to add the fees from the PKB column to the TNKB Adm Fee column on your car's STNK.
