1. Check via e-Samsat website

The first way to check is to check via the official e-Samsat website. The steps are as follows.

First, open your mobile phone, then access the e-Samsat.id website
Once the website page opens, fill out the form displayed on the site. Starting from the plate, number, series, chassis number, and select the Province according to the vehicle registration domicile.
If everything is filled out correctly, click the “Check Now” button.
Wait a moment until the website page loads information about the amount of tax that needs to be paid along with the details. The page will also provide vehicle information, including brand, model, year, color, engine number, and chassis number.

2. Check via e-Samsat application

The second way to check is to utilize the e-Samsat application created by Korlantas Polri. The usage steps are as follows.

Open your mobile phone, then open the Playstore or Appstore application service.
Then download the e-Samsat application such as SIGNAL (National Digital SIM).
After downloading, install the application.
Don’t forget to register a SIGNAL account by filling in the data as requested by the application. Starting from personal data according to your ID card, phone number, active email, to a selfie.
Next, verify your account by entering the OTP code sent by the SIGNAL application via email or SMS.
Then, log in to the SIGNAL application.
Then select the menu “Add Motor Vehicle Data”.
Then select the menu “Vehicle in Your Name”.
Next, the application will display several fields from the vehicle registration number to the last five digits of the chassis number. Fill in these fields according to your vehicle's identity.
If all fields are filled, the SIGNAL application will display complete information regarding the amount of car tax that needs to be paid along with the complete identity of the vehicle.

3. Check via SMS

The third way is to check car tax using the SMS service. The steps are as follows.

Open the SMS service on your mobile phone, and make sure you have enough SMS credit.
Then send a message to the number 1717 with the SMS format “METRO” (space) “Vehicle plate number”. Example: METRO_B 4174 KQ.
Wait a moment until you receive an SMS reply containing the tax amount and complete vehicle identity.

4. Check via USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data)

The last way is to check car tax using USSD services as follows.

Open your mobile phone, then select the phone service menu.
Then type *368*1# and press the call icon.
Next, a message will appear with several options.
Select number 2 to check “Motor Vehicle Tax Info”.
Then enter your plate number without using spaces.
