1. Complete all SIM extension requirements

Before extending your SIM, the applicant must complete all SIM extension requirements. The requirements that must be completed are as follows.

• Attach the SIM to be extended along with two photocopies. Ensure that the validity period of the SIM to be extended does not exceed the expiration date of the SIM. A maximum of two days before the SIM expiration date.
• Attach the original ID card of the SIM extension applicant along with two photocopies.
• Attach proof of having undergone a health check from a doctor or medical institution designated by Korlantas Polri. This proof can be obtained by taking an online health test on the e-Rikkes SIM website or application. However, this health check can also be done directly at the mobile SIM service.
• Attach proof of having taken a psychological test from an institution designated by Korlantas Polri. This proof can be obtained by taking the psychological test online on the e-Ppsi SIM website or application. However, this psychological test can also be done directly at the mobile SIM service.

2. Visit the nearest mobile SIM service

If all the above requirements are complete, you can visit the nearest mobile SIM service to your residence. 

3. Take a queue number and SIM extension application form

Next, visit the mobile SIM service vehicle and request a queue number and SIM extension application form from the officer. Fill out the form according to the requested data. 

4. Submit all required documents to the officer

After your name is called by the officer, submit all the SIM extension requirements along with the application form. If you have not undergone a health check and psychological test online, you can do the health check and psychological test directly with the mobile SIM officer.

The health check fee is usually charged at Rp40,000. Meanwhile, the psychological test fee is charged at Rp75,000. In 2024, some regions have increased the psychological test fee to Rp100,000.

5. Conduct self-identification process

After all requirements are submitted to the mobile SIM officer, the officer will verify the documents. If all documents meet the requirements, you will need to follow the self-identification process. During this process, fingerprinting, a personal photo, and signature will usually be taken. Before conducting the self-identification process, you will usually be asked to pay the SIM extension fee. 

For SIM A, the fee is usually Rp80,000. Meanwhile, for SIM C, the fee is Rp75,000. In addition to these fees, there is usually an additional fee of Rp30,000 for insurance.

6. Handover of SIM

Next, you just need to wait for your name to be called by the officer to receive your new SIM issuance.
