Determining the mode of transportation

Select license plate in Google Maps
Google Maps provides a feature to select license plates. There are odd or even options, you just need to select this feature according to your vehicle's number.
Press the three-line icon in the upper left corner. After the menu appears, select the settings menu. Then look for Navigation Settings, and in the middle section, there will be a choice of Route Options.
In this option, there is a choice of 'Avoiding odd plate roads’ or ‘Avoiding even plate roads’. For odd license plates, check Odd Plate. While for Even Plate if the license plate number is even. Then click 'Save' to save the settings.

How to change license plate settings

- Open the Google Maps application.
- Press the Menu icon.
- Go to ‘Settings‘.
- Go to ‘Navigation Settings‘ (this option is located at the bottom).
- Press ‘Avoid roads with odd-even license plate rules‘.
- Select odd or even license plate options.
- Press ‘Save‘.
During the period of license plate restrictions, you will only see routes that can be taken by the vehicle license plates that have been set earlier.
As we know, the implementation of the odd-even system in Jakarta aims to reduce traffic congestion in the capital during peak hours. Odd-even regulations apply in the morning from 06:00-10:00 WIB and in the afternoon from 16:00-21:00 WIB. This system does not apply on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
