Indonesian license plates are an identity for a vehicle. Each vehicle has a different license plate and a different color plate to distinguish between private or public vehicles, and to differentiate between official and non-official vehicles. List of Indonesian License Plates by Color

1. Black

Black plates with white writing are for individual motor vehicles, international bodies, and legal entities. This plate applies to vehicles manufactured before June 2022.

2. White

White plates with black writing are used for individual motor vehicles, international bodies, PNA, and legal entities. This plate has been in effect since June 2022 in accordance with Police Regulation No. 7 of 2021 in article 45 paragraph one.

3. Yellow

Yellow plates with black writing are used for motor vehicles used for public transportation.

5. Green
