Position the Jack at the Support Point

Jack Up the Car Slowly
Use the jack's turning lever to slowly lift the car until the wheel to be replaced is off the ground. Do not lift too high to keep the car stable. Immediately install wheel chocks (jack stands) if available, or temporarily place the removed tire under the car. Do the opposite when the new tire has been replaced.
