Five Easy Steps to Clean the Exterior of Your Car
JAKARTA, FEBRUARY 2025, Daihatsu friends should wash their cars regularly. Dirt can stick to the car body at any time throughout the year. If debris and dirt are not cleaned, over time it can damage the paint.
Therefore, regular cleaning not only makes the car shine but also helps maintain its value.
Here are tips for keeping your car clean in no time.
1. Remove Loose Dirt
Before Daihatsu friends start washing the car, remove loose dirt such as leaf debris or flower petals by hand or with a soft brush.
2. Initial Cleaning
Now it's time for the initial cleaning: Remove rough dirt with a pressure washer. Use a flat jet nozzle to prevent scratches with the wash brush. Alternatively, wash the car first by hand using a spray gun attached to a garden hose or a bucket of water and a soft sponge.
If necessary, do a pre-treatment and clean the rims. The wheel wells should also be addressed during the pre-wash phase as dirt is very difficult to remove from these areas. To clean these hard-to-reach places, use a short jet pipe with a 360-degree connection. This pipe can be adjusted to any angle.
3. Apply Detergent
Now, use detergent on the pressure washer, clean the entire car with car shampoo or other cleaners. Make sure to do this from bottom to top and let it soak for a moment into the dirt to loosen it.
Then, you just need to rinse it off with a strong spray of water. If it needs to soak a little longer, foam cleaner should be used. This will create foam that is very easy to apply with a foam nozzle. Alternatively, you can apply detergent to the car body with a soft sponge.
Note: Do not create a foam pile, otherwise, the foam will slide off due to its own weight and will not have enough time to soak.
4. Rinse the Car
Then wash the car with a pressure washer and clean water. Always use a flat jet nozzle and keep a distance of 15 centimeters from the car surface or 30 centimeters from the tires. Alternatively, a soft wash brush, power brush, or rotating wash brush can be connected to the pressure washer. This removes dirt more thoroughly.
Tip: Always wash the car from bottom to top. This makes it easier to see which areas still need cleaning. If you do not have a pressure washer, you can also rinse the car with a garden hose and spray nozzle.
