One of the components that is quite important in motor vehicles is the suspension. This suspension is a component that functions to dampen shocks and vibrations that occur when the vehicle is moving on the road.

1. Double Wishbone Suspension
The first type of suspension construction is the double wishbone, where its special characteristic lies in the presence of two arms that support the suspension system.
These two arms are the upper arm and lower arm, which can keep the wheel geometry angle constant regardless of how far the suspension moves.
However, this suspension also has a drawback, which is that it requires more space than other types of suspensions. The double wishbone suspension is generally used in vehicles that are quite large.

2. Axle Rigid Suspension
The next type of suspension is the axle rigid, which is characterized by the right rear wheel and the left rear wheel being connected by a shaft or axle into one.
This suspension is indeed located at the back of the car, and many refer to it as the GARDAN. The axle rigid suspension itself is divided into 2 models, namely leaf spring and coil.
3. Macpherson Suspension
The type of suspension most commonly applied to vehicles is the macpherson suspension, because it has simple components that are easy to obtain, and the price of this suspension is also quite affordable.
The shape of the macpherson suspension itself is upright and supported by a shock absorber, where this part becomes the focal point of the caster angle on the car.
4. Independent Suspension
The independent suspension is one of the types of suspensions that are widely applied to luxury cars.
This suspension is indeed specially designed, and the left and right rear wheels of the car are connected by axle joints.
So when the car hits a pothole, the vehicle will not sway because only one part of the suspension moves.
5. Multi Link Suspension
Cars that have a multi link suspension construction are claimed to be easier to control even on rough roads.
The multi link suspension itself is actually a development of the double wishbone type suspension, but with a more complex construction design.
Where its construction has separate parts, connected by joints.
Like the double wishbone, the multi link also has both sides of the arm. And its construction is made based on the manipulation of force direction, which is expected to be received by the wheels either from impacts or when the car hits a pothole.
However, because the multi link suspension is one of the types of suspensions with expensive parts, it is still rare for cars to use it.
Various suspensions are embedded in vehicles to provide comfort to their users. Imagine if your car did not have these parts, then the car you drive might feel like a cart.
