Understand the Procedure for Unblocking STNK Due to ETLE Ticketing
JAKARTA, DECEMBER 2024, Traffic violations can happen to anyone, including Daihatsu Friends. Especially since some roads in several cities implement Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) violation evidence (ticket).
If caught by an ETLE ticket, Daihatsu Friends must confirm so that their Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK) is not blocked. The ETLE program can automatically detect traffic violations through CCTV cameras. Image will be used as evidence of the violation.
“The STNK will be blocked because the vehicle received an ETLE ticket if the vehicle owner does not confirm the traffic violation within the due period, which is 7 days from the confirmation letter received,” explained

ETLE Ticketing Process
- The car will be captured by CCTV, then validated to issue a confirmation letter.
- The confirmation letter will be sent to the STNK owner's address via courier.
- If it has been sent and within 7 days since the letter was received the violator does not confirm, then the STNK will be blocked.
Here’s How to Unblock STNK Due to ETLE
- If the violator is late in confirming and the STNK has already been blocked, Daihatsu Friends have the opportunity to unblock it.
- The STNK blocking will be automatically lifted if the vehicle owner has paid the ETLE fine. Unblocking is done at the Law Enforcement Subdirectorate Office for confirmation and payment of the ETLE ticket fine.
- Next, after confirmation, the vehicle owner will receive a BRI Virtual Account (BRIVA) and make the payment plus verification of the traffic violator.
- If the ticket fine payment has been completed, the officer will unblock the STNK.
- The application for unblocking the STNK due to ETLE tickets is free and no fines are imposed even if late. There are no fines. The only fine is the violation fine.
