JAKARTA, April 2025, There is good news for Daihatsu friends residing in the Banten region. The Banten Regional Government will carry out a vehicle tax amnesty starting this season.

The public in Banten can start the amnesty from April 10, 2025. Practically, Daihatsu friends can apply for this policy after Eid al-Fitr. Daihatsu friends only need to pay the tax for 2025, while previous arrears will be erased.

The vehicle tax amnesty policy will be implemented from April 10 to June 30. The requirement is to complete the tax payment for the year 2025. Meanwhile, the burden of tax arrears will be eliminated.

This regulation is stated in the Governor's Decree (Kepgub) of Banten Number 170 of 2025 concerning the Exemption of Principal and/or Sanctions of Motor Vehicle Tax. The Banten Kepgub was signed on March 27, 2025.

Here is the content of the Banten Kepgub Number 170 of 2025 regarding the vehicle tax amnesty:

1. Exemption of principal and/or sanctions of Motor Vehicle Tax is granted to Taxpayers who own and/or control motor vehicles.
2. Exemption of principal and/or sanctions of Motor Vehicle Tax is granted to Taxpayers under the following provisions:

• Exemption of principal and sanctions of Motor Vehicle Tax is granted to Taxpayers who have not made payments for Motor Vehicle Tax since 2024 and earlier, provided they make payments for the tax period of 2025 to 2026.
• Exemption of sanctions of Motor Vehicle Tax is granted to Taxpayers for the tax year 2025.

1. Exemption of principal and/or sanctions of Motor Vehicle Tax as referred to in the second dictum does not apply to Taxpayers who mutate out of the Banten Province.
2. Exemption of principal and/or sanctions of Motor Vehicle Tax as referred to in the second dictum is valid from April 10, 2025, to June 30, 2025.
3. This Governor's Decision takes effect on the date it is stipulated.
