Understanding Body Roll and Its Impact on Vehicles
Body roll is one of the various terms related to vehicles such as ground clearance, interior, exterior, and so on.
But this time, we are not discussing everything. Body roll itself is a condition where the body of the vehicle seems to be thrown outside its limits or path.
This event usually occurs when the vehicle is about to turn or make a very sharp maneuver. Simply put, this term refers to a car that feels like it is leaning or being thrown.
For those of you who will drive a vehicle like a car, it is mandatory to know the level of body roll. The goal is that when navigating various sharp turns, you can determine the appropriate speed to maintain.
If you do not know this, there is a high possibility that the car you are driving could be thrown off balance.
The main cause of body roll is usually the car's body being too high. Not only that, a high ground clearance can also have the same possibility of occurrence.
Such events can be clearly seen when a car is moving at a sufficient speed and will change lanes. What happens is that the rear body of the car cannot follow the movement of the vehicle that is changing direction due to being too heavy.
Suspension that is too soft and cushy can also be a cause. If the suspension is soft, it can create centrifugal force when a car is moving at a relatively high speed, and then the suspension will assist it.
Such events can also result in the car's body being thrown off its chassis, making the car feel unstable and lean. This is what many automotive companies are developing to use rigid suspensions to enable high-speed engines.

How to Overcome Body Roll During a Journey
One way you can overcome body roll is by replacing the suspension with a harder or more rigid one than before. By replacing it, you can also reduce symptoms and make the car feel more comfortable to use at high speeds.
Another method you can do is to install an anti-roll, sway bar, or you can also use a stabilizer link. You may not be familiar with these terms, but if you buy at an accessory store, many will understand.
The way it works when using a sway bar is by connecting the rear suspension on the right and left sides. Not only that, you can also add a strut bar in the engine compartment.
It has a shape almost similar to a sway bar, only its position is different; if the sway bar connects the suspension at the rear right and left, then the strut bar connects the right and left suspension at the front that spans across the engine compartment.
By installing both of these accessories, you can enhance safety and comfort during your journey.
