Penyebab Lampu Dashboard Mobil Mati dan Solusinya

Have you ever experienced the dashboard lights of your car going out? If so, you would certainly feel panicked. Especially if you are traveling at night, driving would feel uncomfortable.

There are several reasons why the dashboard lights may go out, but not many people realize and understand them. Generally, the cause of this component failing is an issue with the electrical system.

Before deciding to take it to a workshop, it is important to find out the cause and how to address it. Especially if the lights go out suddenly.

Causes of Car Dashboard Lights Going Out

The presence of the car dashboard lights plays a very important role, especially for drivers. Because their presence helps drivers to clearly see the information displayed on the dashboard, especially at night.

However, just like other components in the car, the dashboard lights can also often go out. The causes are varied, and for more clarity, please see some of the causes below.

Problems with the Wires

The electrical system in a car usually consists of various wires connecting each component within it. If there are broken, loose, or problematic wires, it can cause the dashboard lights not to turn on.

That is why it is important to check the wiring of the lights located in the engine compartment. However, you must be careful because the wiring in cars is very complex, so you should not take steps haphazardly.

Faulty Sensor

Another reason why the dashboard lights may go out is a faulty sensor, especially in vehicles with electronic sensors. These sensors are usually located in the transmission.

If the sensor is damaged, a loose or disconnected socket will cause the transducer gear to wear out, and the speed cannot be predicted by the vehicle owner. Damage to the sensor will also affect the check engine light on injection-type vehicles.

Blown Car Fuse

In addition to the issues above, the cause of the lights not working can also be due to a blown car fuse. A blown or melted fuse will certainly not function and light up, causing the dashboard lights to go out as well.

Damage to the Panel

Another issue that causes the lights not to turn on is damage to the panel. A damaged or faulty panel will automatically cause the indicator lights on the car to go out.

There are two signs indicating that the panel is damaged: the needle indicator or numbers appear faint, and the speedometer is completely dead. This damage can also occur if one panel begins to experience errors.

How to Fix Dashboard Lights Not Turning On

To address the issue of dashboard lights not turning on, it is best to first find out the cause. For example, if it is caused by a faulty panel, you can use a scan tool to identify the faulty or damaged part.

Additionally, check the wiring to see if there are any broken or disconnected wires in the engine compartment. Moreover, the dashboard lights are closely related to the electrical system within it.

Also, don't forget to check the fuses to determine if the damage is caused by a blown fuse or not. To check it, try using an Engine Control Unit from another car.

The presence of dashboard lights is indeed very important, including in Daihatsu cars. Because with the lights, you will find it easier to read the information within. If you experience issues with your car's dashboard lights going out, it is best to take it to a professional service center to resolve it.
