1. Car Hard to Start 

Have you ever found your vehicle very difficult to start as usual? A car that cannot be started is a sign that the battery is starting to weaken and needs to be replaced with a new one. There are several ways to overcome a car that is hard to start.

Generally, this condition occurs due to the battery water being at the minimum level, making it difficult to supply electrical power as needed. 

It turns out that this condition does not only occur in vehicles equipped with wet batteries, as owners of vehicles with dry batteries also need to be cautious. 

This problem can also occur when this component is shaken, damaging the cells inside the battery. When you notice the signs of a weak car battery, check it immediately before the vehicle breaks down completely. 

2. Weak Horn Sound and Dim Lights 

Generally, the sound of the vehicle's horn is loud enough for other drivers to hear clearly. 

However, at times, the horn sounds very weak even though the driver has pressed it to the maximum point. This condition indicates that the vehicle's battery is starting to weaken, affecting its performance as usual. 

Another sign that indicates the battery is starting to weaken is the main headlights dimming when turned on. 

Of course, this condition can endanger drivers, as the driver cannot navigate the dark road due to the dim light produced by the headlights. However, this can also happen when the age of the bulbs has exceeded their usage limit.

3. Battery Age 

Another sign of a weak car battery is its age, which has reached its usage limit. Generally, a battery has a lifespan of about 2 years, but its durability depends on the maintenance and usage of the vehicle itself. The more often it receives proper maintenance, the less likely the battery will weaken. 

It seems that battery maintenance is very important, considering this vehicle component has a fairly high resale value. 

By doing this, you won’t have to spend extra money just because the battery frequently weakens due to user error. You can also check the purchase date of the battery to ensure its usage age. 

4. Low Battery Voltage 

Low battery voltage can also be a sign that the vehicle's battery is starting to weaken. To confirm this, please test using a load tester or cranking. The signs of a weak car battery are when the battery voltage is below 10 Volts. 

If this is the case, you should immediately take it to the nearest workshop to replace it with a new battery.
