The first way to check is to use the SMS service on your phone. Here’s how.

• Type an SMS in the format “TAX (space) Vehicle plate number (space) TNKB color. Example: BK 4173 K.
• Then send it to the number 3699.

2. Check via USSD

The second way, you can use the USSD service on your phone. Here’s how.

• Click the “Phone” menu on your phone.
• Then type *363*117#, then press the phone icon button. 
• Next, a menu “Polda Sumut” and the “Tax Info” menu will appear
• Click the “Tax Info” menu and enter the vehicle plate number along with the last five digits of the vehicle chassis number.

3. Check via e-Samsat.id site

• Open your mobile or laptop browser, then visit https://e-samsat.id/sumatera-utara/
• Then fill in the data according to the fields available on the site page. Starting from the vehicle plate number field, serial number, to the vehicle chassis number.
• Next, click the “Select Province” menu and choose “North Sumatra”.
• Then, click the “Check Now” button. The site page will display complete information about the vehicle, along with the amount of tax that must be paid.

4. Check via Bapenda (Regional Revenue Agency) North Sumatra site.

The fourth way, you can check through the Bapenda North Sumatra site. Here’s how.
