From Which Area Does the P Plate Come?

Vehicles with the letter P plate code come from Bondowoso, Situbondo, Jember, and Banyuwangi regencies. For more details, see below: 

1. Bondowoso Regency

This area uses the letter P as the first code, and for the back code, it uses the letters A*/B*/C*/D*. Example: P 1214 AA.

2. Situbondo Regency

Next is Situbondo. This area uses the letters E*/F/G*/H*/I*/J* as the back plate code. Example: P 1214 II.

3. Jember Regency

Uses the letter P as the first code, and uses the letters K*/L*/M*/N*/O*/P*/Q*/R*/S*/T* as the back plate code. Example: P 1214 TO.

4. Banyuwangi Regency

The last area that uses the letter P as the initial vehicle plate code is Banyuwangi Regency. For the back plate code, this area uses the letters U*/V*/W*/X*/Y*/Z*. Example: P 1214 UW.

How to Check P Plate Vehicle Tax

There are several ways you need to know when you want to check JATIM (East Java) vehicles with a P plate. Here are the complete methods.

1. Check via SMS

Here’s how:

• Open the SMS application, then type a message in the format “JATIM” (space) vehicle plate number. Example: JATIM_P 1214 AA.
• Then send it to the number 7070.

2. Check via USSD

Here’s how:

• Open the phone service menu, then type *368#.
• Then press enter or make a call.
• Next, the phone screen will display several menu options. Press number 1 if you want to know information about motor vehicles. Press number 2 for motor vehicle tax info. Press number 3 for tax reminders. Press number 4 for information on Mobile SIM, and press number 5 for information on Mobile Samsat.
• Select number 2, then click send, and the vehicle tax amount will appear on your phone screen.

3. Check via the East Java e-Samsat website

Here’s how:

• Type https://info.dipendajatim.go.id/esamsat/ in your PC or mobile browser. Then visit the site.
• Select the Samsat of the vehicle's origin. Example: If the vehicle you purchased is from Bondowoso, then select Bondowoso Samsat.
• Enter the police plate number according to the format specified by the East Java e-Samsat site. Example: P 1214 AA.
• Enter the security code (captcha) in the captcha column.
• If you have filled in the data correctly, click the "Check Vehicle Data" button. Next, the tax bill and complete information about the vehicle will appear.

4. Check via the East Java Dispenda (Regional Revenue Office) website

Here’s how:

• Open your PC or mobile browser, then access the site https://info.dipendajatim.go.id/index.php-page=info_pkb
• Select the Samsat of the vehicle's origin. 
• Enter the police plate number.
• Enter the security code (captcha) in the captcha column.
• If you have filled in the data correctly, click the "Check Vehicle Data" button. Next, the tax bill and complete information about the vehicle will appear.

5. Check via the East Java Samsat application

Here’s how:

• Download the Smart Samsat East Java application from the Playstore.
• Install the application.
• Register an account for the application by uploading a selfie, along with filling in personal data, phone number, and email.
• Log in to the application.
• Select the "Tax Amount" menu. Next, you will be taken to several menu options such as 1-year STNK validation, 5-year STNK extension, vehicle name transfer fee, new vehicles, incoming mutations, to progressive tax.
• Choose one of those menus according to your needs.
