Types of Car Starter System Circuits

1. Starter System Circuit with Relay

This causes the electric current to flow to the magnetic coil in the relay, generating magnetic power that connects terminal 30 with terminal 87.
2. Starter System Circuit without Relay
In this type, the electric current will flow to the ignition switch and fuse through the battery to reach terminal 50 of the starter solenoid. Then, the solenoid will switch to the ON position so that terminal 30 of the starter motor can connect with the armature. Thus, the armature can rotate faster because the coil is supplied with electric current from the battery.
