KAI Local Tickets Must Be Online, Valid Early January 2025
JAKARTA, DECEMBER 2024, If Daihatsu friends usually buy train tickets directly at the station or go show, it is better to leave that practice. This is because the train operator will implement a new policy starting next year.
"The plan for ticket booking services will only be through Access by KAI and ticket counters starting January 1, 2025, will only be implemented at several stations," said Ayep Hanapi, Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 2 Bandung, West Java.

Via Online and Ticket Box
Train ticket purchases will be conducted online. This policy will take effect on January 1, 2025. This new regulation requires several local train stations to implement an online system or through ticket machines (ticket boxes) at the station. Thus, local train stations will not serve go show ticket purchases (direct).
This policy provides easier public access for booking tickets well in advance of departure. With this, travelers do not need to queue at the station counters.
Socialization and Preparation
The train operator is currently socializing this policy. At least in the last month to change public habits in ticket purchasing. The number of counters that will be closed is still awaiting policy, with socialization a month in advance so that the public can prepare.
Preparation steps are being made. This is to support the digital transformation of ticket purchases, and later ticket boxes will be provided for ticket bookings at stations where the counters will be closed.
