Rusty Car AC Compressor
Generally, a stuck compressor is caused by the appearance of rust on the compressor's shaft with a bamboo bearing. The good news is that if the cause of your car's AC damage is due to a stuck compressor, you do not need to replace it with a new one. The rust can be removed, and the method to remove it is easy. First, disassemble the compressor and clean it with anti-rust. Second, sand it until smooth. Third, replace the compressor oil with new oil. However, you must also ensure that there are no defects in the compressor, such as a piston, cylinder wall, or broken valve. If the valve is broken, of course, you have to replace the compressor with a new one.
Noisy Compressor
If the AC compressor is noisy, you should first pay attention to the compressor oil. The compressor oil serves as a lubricant to reduce friction and prevent the compressor from overheating quickly. There may be an error during the oil filling process or a leak in the compressor.
Next, also check if the piston has worn out. This can happen in cars that are over five years old or cars that have minimal AC system maintenance. A worn piston is one of the causes of the AC producing harsh sounds that are disturbing. If this happens, you need to replace the compressor with a new one.

A stuck AC compressor is usually due to the compressor being forced to work when experiencing thermal issues without any repairs. As a result, the compressor becomes stuck and may even burn out. Proper and regular maintenance of the AC compressor is essential to keep the cold air in the cabin consistent. It is very important to perform routine maintenance on the AC system at least twice a year.
