Beloved vehicles that cannot be started sometimes leave their owners confused. Especially if you are still unfamiliar with the various problems that occur with your beloved car. 

If a car usually has trouble starting, it is often due to issues with the battery. Below are the most common causes of a car that won't start, characterized by difficulty in starting.

1. Alternator is Damaged

The first cause that usually prevents a car from starting is a damaged alternator or dynamo ampere. 

The alternator itself is a component responsible for supplying electrical current to several other components. If the alternator is damaged, of course, the car will not be able to start even if the battery is in good condition.

In fact, alternators are not easily damaged. Typically, damage occurs because the car is over 8 years old. 

If you encounter damage to the alternator, the best course of action is to take it directly to the nearest workshop or authorized service center. This way, the cause of the car not starting can be properly addressed.

2. Problematic Spark Plugs

Not only the car battery, but one of the key components for starting the car is the spark plug. If there is an issue with the spark plug, the car's starter will also be affected. 

Especially if the spark plugs are very dirty or worn out, these two factors will certainly cause your beloved vehicle to be unable to start.

You should know that dirty spark plugs will hinder the spark needed for the starter to do its job. If the car cannot be started, try checking the spark plugs located in the engine compartment. 

If they are indeed dirty, clean them immediately using a special cleaning solution. However, if the spark plugs are worn out, they will prevent the beloved vehicle from starting even when the engine is still hot. 

When the engine has cooled down, only then can the starter work. To address the cause of the car not starting, replace the spark plugs with new ones so that they do not hinder the car's performance.

3. Coil is Too Hot

It turns out that the coil also plays a significant role in starting the car's starter. Especially with its function of amplifying the electrical voltage to a larger amount or reaching thousands of volts to the battery. 

If the coil is functioning, it allows your beloved vehicle to start. The amplified electrical current will then be directed to the spark plugs to ignite the spark. 

If at any time the car has trouble starting, try checking the coil. A damaged coil can be identified by its extremely hot temperature. The solution to the cause of the car not starting is to replace the coil with a new one.

As a four-wheeled vehicle owner, sometimes you may not be sensitive to the problems occurring with your vehicle. This is often because they do not perform regular maintenance and checks. 

As a result, the car will experience damage more quickly. For example, when the starter does not work as it should. If this happens, immediately take it to the workshop.
