5 Factors Causing Fuel Injection Cars to Not Start and How to Fix Them
Cars with injection engines are widely available in the market. However, unfortunately, many people are still quite unfamiliar with potential engine problems that may occur.

1. Fuel Pump Not Working
In the latest cars, the fuel pump system used is of the injection type. This is useful for supplying stable fuel pressure.
If that pressure drops, then gasoline will not flow out, making it difficult for the injection engine to start. This problem can usually be detected if there is no humming sound.
The humming sound indicates that the fuel pump is still active. Conversely, if there is no sound, it means the injection pump is not functioning.
If this happens, it is advisable to check the pump directly and replace it if necessary. However, the best way is to visit the nearest service center.
2. Damage to the Spark Plug
An injection car not starting can also be caused by damage to the spark plug component. While this issue generally occurs in carbureted cars, injection engines can also frequently experience the same damage.
More specifically, a damaged spark plug will not be able to convert the coil's electrical voltage into a spark.
This classic problem is actually very common because spark plugs in the engine require routine maintenance. Essentially, a 4-cylinder engine has the same number of spark plugs.
If only one is damaged, the engine can still start. However, if this condition is left unchecked, the damage will spread and affect other spark plugs.

3. ISC or Idle Speed Control Not Functioning
If you have ever detected unstable idle RPM, stuttering engine starts, and throttle issues, then check the ISC or idle speed control.
An injection car not starting generally occurs because the ISC does not provide air for fuel combustion. Check it immediately with a needle check. Clean it if the ISC is dirty, but replace it if the ISC is already damaged.
4. Weak Voltage on the Battery
The battery has an equally important role in raising the car's RPM. The cranking RPM should be around 800–1000 RPM. If it is less than that, the fuel combustion process will be hindered.
When this happens, immediately check the voltage of the battery you are using. Recharge it to increase the battery voltage or replace it if the battery electrolyte is old.

5. Fuel Hose Leak
It is very clear that the starting process will require a supply of gasoline. Therefore, you can check the fuel hose when the injection car won't start. This lightweight yet thick plastic hose should have a leak-proof structure.
Unfortunately, it is not elastic. If twisted, it is prone to holes. The best solution is to replace it. The injection system in new car engines is indeed considered very effective. However, when the starting issue does not function, you must be quick to find the cause.
You should check the fuel, check the engine spark plugs, measure the battery voltage, and also ensure the ISC is working perfectly. This way, you can immediately fix it or take it to service.
