Check Tire Pressure Regularly With These 3 Steps

Did you know that filling the air pressure in your car tires to the right size can bring you many benefits? One of them is saving fuel.
Improper air pressure in the tires can lead to issues such as uneven tire wear, or worse, the tire could burst while driving. To prevent these things from happening, it is important to maintain the correct air pressure in car tires A. The following methods can be solutions to keep the air condition in the tires.
1. Check the vehicle's manual or the instructions on the inside of the driver's door
The number listed in the manual or the instructions on the inside of the driver's door is the psi (pounds per square inch) figure. This number indicates the air pressure size that you can use as a reference when filling the air pressure in your car tires. Pay close attention, as usually the front and rear tires have different pressure sizes. However, for some reasons, sometimes car tires can be filled with higher pressure, such as:
a. Most sedans, minivans, or mini pickups usually have manufacturers recommending a psi number between 27-32, but this number can be increased up to 40.
b. Specifically for larger vehicles with heavy loads, such as trucks or SUVs, the psi number generally ranges from 4 to 8 levels higher than smaller cars, which is around 45.
2. Remove the tire valve cap, and use a pressure gauge
You can use a gauge to find out the air pressure in the tires. The first thing to do is to remove the valve cap on the tire, then press the pressure gauge firmly into the tire valve and look at the displayed size. For traditional gauge models, the needle will automatically show the size. Meanwhile, on digital gauge models, you can usually see the pressure directly without needing to press any buttons.
3. Don't forget to close the tire valve after filling the air
This is a small thing that is often forgotten. The tire valve cap is an important part that functions to hold the air inside the car tire. After measuring and filling the air pressure, make sure to properly close the car tire valve.
Now you know how important it is to know the correct air pressure for car tires and how beneficial it is? So, don't forget to always check it!
