Do These 5 Things If You Want to Be a Smart Leader in Maintaining Employee Productivity

Maintaining good job performance certainly requires someone to work hard, which can lead to stress if one is not good at managing time. Because the responsibilities of a job can affect a person's personal life, such as health issues, fatigue, or even deteriorating work performance. This is where a leader's role is to ensure that their team is in a healthy, energetic condition and has good performance to maintain the company's productivity. A smart leader is capable of doing the following five things to help the team and themselves achieve balance in life and work.

Leading and Setting a Direct Example

A leader with good abilities will certainly be a very good example for their employees. Therefore, a leader must also set an example for the employees. For instance, if employees see their leader working 8 hours a day, then the leader must provide 8 hours of work for their employees.

Not Implementing Overtime or Working Outside of Working Hours

Working overtime or outside of working hours is not an effective way to increase employee productivity. Therefore, a leader should be firm in not implementing an overtime work system, especially outside of hours or on holidays, as this will only make their lives unbalanced and experience pressure due to continuous work. 

Valuing Employee Vacation Time

Every professional company certainly provides leave time for its employees. If an employee is on leave, then a leader must be able to respect and honor the rights of employees who are on vacation, such as not contacting them so they can fully enjoy their time off, thus ensuring high productivity when they return to work. This is how a good leader maintains the life balance of the employees in their team. 

Able to Apply Advanced Technology in Job Completion

Currently, smartphone, tablet, and internet technology can serve as connectivity between leaders and employees. This can be utilized by leaders to manage the balance between employees' personal lives and their work productivity.

Able to Take Responsibility from Start to Finish

Success and productivity in a company are not only derived from brilliant ideas but also from the ability to take responsibility from the beginning to the end of the ongoing process. Therefore, a good leader must always be responsible and active in all tasks, from the system to the application, all of which can be monitored by a leader. A leader must ensure that these three aspects synergize and integrate very well.
