Many people choose used cars for the reason of being cheap. However, buying a used car requires several considerations. Considering it is not in new condition, we must be meticulous in paying attention to the condition of the car so that we are not deceived and to avoid undesirable things such as defects due to having been in an accident, flooded, or others.
To avoid regrets when buying a used car, here are some things you should pay attention to:

Compare Prices

Surely many used car showrooms offer cheap prices to their buyers. This certainly makes it easier for you to weigh which is the best. It would be better if you also check several showrooms or buy online so you can choose the right car according to your budget.

Check the Car Body

Don't be fooled into buying a used car that has been in an accident. A simple way to know if a car has been involved in an accident is to check the body contours and joint lines.  A car that has been repaired will not be as perfect as the joints made by the factory. Another way is to look at the paint condition, because a used car that has been in an accident, even if repainted, will have a different color from its original color.

Check the Engine

Although it sounds complicated, this is very important for you who intend to buy a used car. Make sure the condition of the engine in both locations is still good and not rusty. Do not buy a used car with a leaking engine and irregular oil flow, meaning it is leaking. The reason is, after that you will have difficulty driving and even maintaining the car.

Test Drive

To be more convincing, you can do a test drive, so you can directly know if there are any problems with the used car you choose. In addition, with a test drive, you can know the engine performance, as well as several panels such as air conditioning (AC), audio, and indicator panels on the car.

Check Vehicle Documents

Match the chassis number and engine number with those listed on the BPKB and STNK. Also check with the police whether the car plate is registered or not. With this step, buyers can avoid stolen cars or the possibility of problematic documents.
