The way to check for damage to the power window motor is by listening for the motor sound; if there is no sound when the power window button is pressed, it means the motor is damaged.
3. Check the Physical Condition of the Power Window Regulator The power window regulator is the connection between the motor and the car window glass. This regulator is of the gear type and cable. Damage to the gear-type regulator occurs because the gears have become thin and their shape is no longer as it should be, while damage to the cable-type regulator occurs because the cable has broken. An easy way to repair the regulator is to replace it with a new one.
