Let's Get to Know the Difference Between LED Lights and DRL

Car lights are one of the most important components for driving, especially at night. Most modern cars have adopted Light Emitting Diode (LED) lights. In addition to the use of LED lights, there are also Daytime Running Lights (DRL). So what is the difference between these two types of lights?
Difference Between LED Lights and DRL Lights
DRL lights are actually not a new thing in Indonesia. In recent years, car manufacturers have installed DRL lights on every car they produce.
Especially for the latest car models, most have already adopted DRL light models, such as the New Astra Daihatsu Ayla 1.2L and Daihatsu All New Terios. Its function, besides beautifying the appearance, is also as a safety feature while driving. For example, when passing through dark roads or tunnels, you don't have to bother turning on the lights.
The function of DRL lights is not just as an accessory, but more as a communication tool from the vehicle to other drivers, so the DRL lights will stay on continuously both day and night.
As for LED, it is more about the lighting system of the main lights that replaces the role of regular bulbs, such as halogen and HID. The placement of DRL and LED is generally different; some are separate from the main lights, while others are integrated with the main light housing.
So basically, there is a clear difference between DRL and LED; DRL is intended for safety purposes, while LED is a type of light applied to the main lights or headlamps.
