Why did Korlantas launch Digital STNK?

The launch is part of strengthening the digital transformation of Korlantas services, making them more practical, certain, and easily accessible to the public. Steps to create and activate Digital STNK

1. Download the Digital Korlantas Polri application from the Play Store or App Store. Then enter the registered WhatsApp phone number.
2. Register and verify your identity with your e-KTP.
3. Login, then select the STNK menu. You will be asked to enter the vehicle registration number (license plate) and the last five digits of the chassis number.
4. Wait for verification. If successful, the Digital STNK sheet will appear in the application with an appearance resembling the physical STNK.

Ensure the NIK matches. If the NIK on the Digital Korlantas account differs from the NIK on the STNK, the registration process may fail.

What about vehicles registered under someone else's name?

Since the NIK of the account must match the NIK on the STNK, activation must be done by the owner whose name is listed on the STNK. If you are using a family member's vehicle, the registered owner needs to activate it on their own account. A more organized long-term solution is to transfer ownership.

What if the vehicle is still under credit or leasing?

As long as the physical STNK is issued in your name and the NIK matches, the process is the same as for regular vehicles. What is checked is the STNK data, not the financing status.
