How to Check Vehicle Tax for Bali License Plates

1. Check via the official website of the Bali Regional Revenue Agency (BPD)
Here’s how to do it.
- Open a browser application on your phone or laptop, then access the official BPD Bali website at http://portal.bpdbali.id/infosamsat.
- Wait a few seconds until the website page appears. The page will display a form regarding the vehicle status.
- Then fill in the vehicle license plate, personal identity (NIK Number), and the last five digits of the chassis number in the available fields on the form.
- Next, click the “Process” button and the website will display complete information regarding the vehicle identity, vehicle owner identity, and the amount of tax that must be paid.
2. Check via the Samsat.id website
Here’s how to do it.
- Open a browser application on your phone or laptop, then access the Samsat.id website at https://e-samsat.id/bali/denpasar/
- Wait a moment until the website page appears.
- Then fill in the form displayed on the site, by entering information about the vehicle license plate, serial number, and the last five digits of the chassis number.
- Then click the menu to select Province and choose “Bali Province”
- Finally, click the “Check Now” button and information regarding the vehicle identity, vehicle owner identity, and tax bill will appear.
3. Check via the SIGNAL application
Here’s how to do it.
- Download the SIGNAL application from the PlayStore or Appstore on your phone.
- Then install and register a SIGNAL account by uploading several documents such as e-KTP, selfie, phone number, and email address.
- Once the account is approved, open the application and select the “Add Motor Vehicle” menu.
- Then fill in the vehicle license plate in the available field. Example: “DK 4173 KS.”
- Then check the box “I guarantee the accuracy of the data provided.”
- Next, click the “Continue” button, then click the “STNK Registration Confirmation” button.
- Once done, click the “NRKB” button and the vehicle tax bill will appear.
4. Check via SMS
Here’s how to do it.
- Open the SMS service on your phone, then type an SMS in the format “BALI” (space) “vehicle license plate”. Example: DK 4173 KS.
- Then send it to the number 8893, and you will receive an SMS reply regarding the vehicle tax bill.
