Let's find out the differences by paying attention to the following review.

Differences Between Daihatsu Taft and Feroza

At first glance, the Daihatsu Taft and Feroza have similar designs. However, if you look closely, you can find some quite striking differences. So what are the differences? To answer that question, you need to pay attention to the following review.

1. Year of Manufacture

The first difference between Daihatsu Taft and the Feroza can be seen from the year of manufacture or production year. The Daihatsu Taft was produced earlier than the Daihatsu Feroza. In Indonesia, the Daihatsu Taft was first released in 1976.

The 1976 Daihatsu Taft was equipped with a 958 cc engine with four cylinders. This Daihatsu Taft F10 is better known in Indonesia as the Kancil car. The high public interest in this SUV led to its production again in 1979 with a chassis code F50 and was equipped with a higher capacity engine of 2,530 cc with four cylinders.

The powerful engine earned it the nickname "kebo" (buffalo car). The last generation was produced in 2007 with the chassis code F78.

Meanwhile, the Daihatsu Feroza was released in Indonesia in 1992 with the chassis code F70. The high interest of the Indonesian public in this car continued with production in 1996 and 1997.

In 1988, it carried a diesel engine with the code DL42 with an engine capacity of 2,765 cc. For its transmission system, it uses a manual transmission system with five speeds.

Meanwhile, the Daihatsu Feroza itself already uses a gasoline engine with a capacity of 1,600 cc with an HD-C SOHC system accompanied by 16 valves. For its transmission system, this car uses a manual transmission system with five speeds.

3. Wheel Drive System Used

The third difference between these two cars can be seen from the wheel drive system used. The Daihatsu Taft uses a 4WD or 4x4 drive system, except for the Daihatsu Taft with the chassis code F10 which uses a 4x2 or 2WD drive system. Meanwhile, the Daihatsu Feroza uses a 4x2 or 2WD drive system.

4. Features Available

The fourth difference between these two cars can be seen from the features provided by Daihatsu.

The Daihatsu Taft itself is equipped with several superior features such as a 4WD drive system indicator, tachometer, central door lock, power steering, voltmeter, clinometer, halogen lights at the front, and even a digital clock.

Meanwhile, the Daihatsu Feroza is already equipped with features such as central lock, power window, power steering, independent suspension, and a sportier design compared to the Daihatsu Taft.

Thus, these are the four differences you need to know between the Daihatsu Taft and Feroza. If you are interested in purchasing one, you need to prepare a budget of around Rp70-180 million for the Daihatsu Taft and around Rp60-150 million for the Daihatsu Feroza.
