The first way, you can check the identity of the vehicle owner and license plate directly at Samsat. You just need to visit the Samsat according to the registered domicile of the vehicle. Don’t forget to bring some important documents such as ID card, vehicle registration certificate (STNK), and vehicle ownership book (BPKB) (original and photocopy) of the vehicle to be checked.

2. Check via the East Java Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) website

The second way, you can do it online through the e-Samsat Jatim website. This method can be used if you don’t have time or are too lazy to queue at Samsat. Here’s how.

First, open a browser on your smartphone or laptop.
Then, visit the website https://bapenda.jatimprov.go.id
Next, the website page will display the PKB (Motor Vehicle Tax), NJKB (Motor Vehicle Selling Value), and PAD (Local Revenue) menus.
To find out the vehicle license plate along with the owner, you can select the PKB or NJKB menu.
