How to Increase the Wattage of a Car Amplifier for Better Audio Quality

During a trip, it feels incomplete if you don't listen to music from the audio. Thanks to the speakers in the car, it becomes the best solution.
However, if the audio produced is not optimal, it will certainly make the driver feel uncomfortable. So how can it be done? Here are some ways to increase the watt power amplifier in your car for better performance.
1. Increase the Voltage Value of the Power Supply
Actually, the steps to increase the power of the power in the car amplifier are not too difficult. Especially for those of you who understand the working principles of the car amplifier circuit.
However, for those who are still unfamiliar, there is no need to be discouraged, as the process of increasing the power of the power amplifier can also be easily applied by yourself.
You just need to increase the voltage value of the power supply on the amplifier. For example, if you are using a power amplifier with a supply circuit of +47v, CT, -47v which produces a power of 250 Watt rms for each pair of final transistors at its output, and its power supply is +32v, CT, -32v in the OCL power.
This circuit is better not to be forced to drive 15-inch speakers. This way of increasing the watt power amplifier in the car is considered still not optimal.
You are advised to use a transformer with half the current of the secondary voltage, such as a transformer with a secondary voltage of 30v ct and a nominal current of 15 Ampere. Ensure that the power supply circuit and the power supply have a balanced power rating to produce better audio.

2. Use at Least Two Final Transistor Rails
If you find it difficult to use the previous method, then this second method can be applied to improve the audio quality in your car. By utilizing at least two final transistor rails (one rail equals one pair), it will help accommodate heat reduction and lighten the work of the transistor.
To achieve the desired bass sound, it is advisable to use special speakers for increasing the watt power amplifier in the car.
For example, a 12-inch speaker will be much more suitable for delivering punchy sounds or kick drums and maximum treble. Meanwhile, a 15-inch speaker tends to produce bass-mid and guitar sounds.
3. Increase the Watt Power Amplifier with a Bridge System
Generally, in car tape or amplifier systems, the output from the power amplifier to the speaker is provided in two ways, namely the regular way with separation of the L and R channels, and the bridge system.
In the configuration of the L and R speaker channels installed, it produces four channels on each channel.
When you connect speakers by combining the four channels on the L or R channel into just two channels, the power or output will increase.
This method of increasing the watt power amplifier in the car is referred to as bridge amplifier, which you can easily apply at home. Increasing the power of the power amplifier in your beloved four-wheeled vehicle can be the best alternative to enhance the audio quality of the car.
Also, make sure the amplifier in your four-wheeled vehicle is well-maintained to create music with the best quality for comfort while driving.
