2. Via SAMSAT website

The second way, you can check through the official SAMSAT website. The method is quite easy, open your smartphone browser.

Then visit the SAMSAT website according to your region. Make sure your internet package is sufficient. Here are some official SAMSAT websites based on their regions.

• DKI Jakarta: For the DKI Jakarta area, you can check through the following website: http://samsat-pkb2.jakarta.go.id/. Once you access the website, wait a moment until the main page appears. You just need to fill in some data requested by the website. For example, license plate number, engine number, and other information about your vehicle. 
• East Java: https://info.dipendajatim.go.id/esamsat

3. Via E-Tilang

The third way, you can check your vehicle tax through the E-Tilang status. If you have ever violated traffic regulations, you are certainly subject to E-Tilang. When you are subject to E-Tilang, you must pay a fine according to the level of your traffic violation.

If you are late in paying the fine beyond the grace period, it could result in your vehicle's STNK being blocked. This method applies to the DKI Jakarta area, as the implementation of E-Tilang in Jakarta has been well and thoroughly enforced.

• Wait a moment until the main page of the site appears. Then fill in the information required by the site. Such as identity number, vehicle license plate.
• After all the data is filled in, you will receive information about the vehicle tax, and the fine amount you have to pay, as well as the status of whether your vehicle is blocked or not. The status can be found at the bottom corner. For example: (license plate number) Blocked E.TLE.

4. Visiting the nearest SAMSAT in person

The last way, you can visit the nearest SAMSAT in person. Bring the required documents. The method is the same as when you are extending vehicle documents or paying annual taxes.
