Easy Ways to Check Vehicle License Plate

As one of the metropolitan cities, Jakarta is certainly crowded with private vehicles such as cars and motorcycles. Due to the high number, the local government has made several driving regulations aimed at reducing the number of vehicles on the roads and addressing traffic congestion. Among the traffic rules implemented, the odd-even rule in Jakarta may be one of the most effective regulations to date.
The odd-even system in Jakarta was actually only recently realized. This rule was implemented in August 2016 with the aim of forcing Jakarta residents to switch to public transportation, thereby reducing congestion. It cannot be denied that traffic congestion is a classic problem in Jakarta that continues to cause losses to the community.
The losses caused by the high number of private vehicles in Jakarta are indeed very significant. It is estimated that due to traffic congestion alone, the city of Jakarta incurs trillions of rupiah in losses each year. Not to mention the air pollution that arises and the non-material losses caused by congestion. Traffic congestion has become a persistent problem that seems to worsen each year. Although the odd-even rule in Jakarta has been implemented, the local government appears to still be unable to address the congestion in the capital city.
In addition to the aforementioned problems, private cars are also often involved in various accidents or serious traffic violations. Moreover, many private car owners do not fulfill their tax obligations for various reasons.
