1. Check via the official Bapenda (Regional Revenue Agency) website of West Sumatra Province 

The first method, you can check via the official Bapenda website of West Sumatra Province. The steps are as follows.

• Open your mobile phone or laptop and then open the browser application.
• Then visit the site https://bapenda.sumbarprov.go.id/content/info_pajak_kendaraan on that browser application.
• Wait a moment until the site page opens. The site page will display the "Mobile Phone Registration" form.
• In the registration form, there are several fields, namely the "Vehicle Plate Number" field, "Owner's Name" field, "Phone Number" field, and the checklist field "I am not a robot".
• Fill in all those fields if you want to receive information about the vehicle tax due date for free. This information will be sent at least two weeks before the vehicle tax due date.
• Next, register by pressing the "Register Mobile Number" button.
• Then, scroll down the site until you find the "Motor Vehicle Tax Info" form.
• Enter the vehicle plate number in the "Enter Vehicle Plate Number" field on the form. Example: BA 6451 KU.
• Then enter the vehicle chassis number in the "Enter the Last 5 Digits of the Chassis Number" field. Example: 11235.
• The last step, press the "Check Vehicle Tax" button, and information regarding the vehicle tax bill will appear.

2. Check via SMS service

The second method, you can use the SMS service to find out the amount of the vehicle tax bill. The steps are as follows.

• Open your mobile phone and select the SMS service menu.
• Then send a message in the format "PKB#license plate number". Example: PKB#BA6451KU. 
• Then send it to the number 0811-6941-555.

3. Check via the e-Samsat SUMBAR application

The third method, you can use the official application from Samsat SUMBAR which is the e-Samsat SUMBAR Mobile. The steps are as follows.

• Open the PlayStore or AppStore application on your phone, then download the e-Samsat SUMBAR application.
• After you download the application, don't forget to install it.
• Then open the application, and it will display several menus. Starting from the Home menu, PKB Info, Monitoring, and GIS. 
• Then you just need to select the "PKB Info" menu.
• In that menu, a form regarding "Motor Vehicle Tax Info" will appear. 
• In that form, there is a field "Enter Vehicle Plate Number", fill in that field according to the vehicle plate number you want to check. Example: BA 6451 KU. 
• Once done, press the "Process" button, and the information regarding the vehicle tax bill that needs to be paid will appear automatically.
