E-Tilang – Check Info and Payment Methods

E-Tilang or electronic ticketing is a ticketing system that is conducted electronically by utilizing CCTV at traffic lights as supervisors replacing police officers. The implementation of E-Tilang has been officially in effect since November 2018. The application of this electronic ticketing is carried out by the Polda Metro Jaya by installing many cameras equipped with special technology to monitor conditions on the road. The special camera, referred to as the electronic law enforcement (E-TLE) camera, will monitor various violations on the road at 10 monitoring points.
In the future, there will be various types of traffic violations that can be observed through the E-TLE cameras. Violations that can be detected include lane errors, odd-even violations, running red lights, driving against the flow, using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a helmet, and exceeding speed limits.
How to Check E-Tilang Online
Checking e-ticketing is very easy and can be done through the website. The advantage is that you do not need to spend time going to the police station to check the amount of the ticket fine. This method applies if you choose the blue slip ticket. For those who choose the red slip ticket, the amount of the fine will be determined in court.
- Visit the website http://www.etilang.info/
- Enter the registration number in the search box on the website page. The registration number is located at the bottom of the blue slip.
- Next, you will be taken to a page containing information about the BRIVA ticket number and so on.
How to Pay E-Tilang
Paying the e-ticket fine is very easy and does not take up your time. The fine payment can be made through various banks, whether BRI or other banks. If through BRI, you can pay via teller, ATM, mobile banking, BRI EDC, or internet banking. Meanwhile, if through other banks, you can pay the fine from an ATM.
Through Internet Banking
Those who have a BRI account and have registered for BRI internet banking services can pay the electronic ticket fine through BRI internet banking. The steps to pay the fine are as follows:
- Log in to the BRI internet banking address by clicking the following link https://ib.bri.co.id/ib-bri/Login.html
- Log in to your BRI account and then go to the main page
- Click the “Bill Payment” menu option. Then click the “Payment” menu and finally click “BRIVA”
- You will be directed to a column to enter the payment code. Enter the ticket payment number you received from the officer, consisting of 15 digits
- After entering the payment code, you will be taken to the confirmation page. Check whether the payment details such as the violator's name, BRIVA number, and payment amount are correct
- Enter the mToken and password
- Save the electronic ticket fine payment receipt in BRIVA as valid proof of payment
- You can go directly to the office and show the proof to the enforcer to retrieve the confiscated evidence.
Through Bank Teller
In addition to Internet Banking, you can also pay through a bank teller.
- Visit the nearest BRI branch to your location
- Take a queue number for transactions through the bank teller and fill out the deposit slip
- In the Account Number column on the deposit slip, enter the 15-digit Ticket Payment Number that you obtained from the officer earlier. Also enter the fine amount that you need to pay on the deposit slip
- Submit the completed deposit slip to the BRI teller
- Wait a moment while the BRI teller validates the transaction
- Keep the deposit slip from the BRI teller as valid proof of payment to the enforcer
- Visit the office and submit the deposit slip from the BRI teller to the enforcer to retrieve the confiscated evidence.
It should be noted that the method of paying the e-ticket fine through the bank teller is only applicable at BRI branches and not at other banks. For transactions through other banks, it can be done via ATM transfer. You just need to select the transfer menu to other bank accounts and then input the 15-digit ticket payment number preceded by the BRI Bank code 002.
Next, you just need to input the payment amount as stated in the ticket fine letter. Enter the amount as indicated because the transaction will be rejected if the amount does not match. Keep the payment receipt to show to the enforcer.

The amount of the ticket fine will differ if you choose the red slip, where you must go to court for a hearing first. However, for violators who choose the E-Tilang blue slip, the following are the fines that must be paid:

Advantages of E-Tilang
The implementation of E-Tilang technology has various advantages compared to previous traffic monitoring and ticketing methods (conventional). Here are the advantages of implementing electronic ticketing for both law enforcement officers and road users:
- The implementation of electronic ticketing can reduce corruption and fraud that usually occurs in the field by law enforcement officers towards traffic violators.
- It saves time and makes it easier for people who are subject to traffic violations because they do not need to spend time attending court hearings.
- The implementation of electronic ticketing using E-TLE cameras that operate full 24 hours a day can increase awareness among road users to be more orderly and maintain safety while on the road.
- It can make road users more disciplined and accustomed to discipline on the road. Generally, people will only be disciplined when there is a raid by police officers.
Always drive safely and follow the traffic regulations that have been established. Safe and disciplined driving is not only useful to avoid getting an E-Tilang but also to ensure safety during the journey. Remember, safety is the most important thing; do not forget your family who is waiting at home.
