GIIAS 2022: Schedule, Location, Ticket Prices, and Latest Cars

Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) is back in 2022. Like the previous year, this year's GIIAS will also carry a positive theme for the future of the Indonesian automotive industry titled “The Future is Bright”.

Through this year's GIIAS event, it is hoped that the Indonesian automotive industry will have a bright future, continue to grow, and be able to embrace various automotive technology innovations in the future.

GIIAS is an exhibition showcasing the latest technology from various automotive lines. A wide range of automotive technologies have been displayed at this exhibition, from the latest commercial vehicles to the newest bodyworks.

This exhibition was first held in 1986 under the name Gaikindo Car Exhibition. The name was then changed to Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) in 2006, and then changed again to GIIAS in 2015 until now.

Location and Dates of GIIAS 2022

For those of you who do not know when GIIAS 2022 will be held, until when, opening hours, dates, and where it will be held, we have summarized it completely in the information below.

This year it will be held in four cities, namely Tangerang, Surabaya, Medan, and Makassar. For details of the four cities hosting GIIAS this year, please see below:

1. Tangerang (August 11 - 21, 2022)

The schedule for GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) 2022 will be held in August, precisely at Ice BSD City. For details, see below:

Note

• Tickets for GIIAS 2022 Tangerang are not sold offline or on the spot. You must purchase them via the Auto360 website or app. This also applies to the Gaikindo event in the other 3 cities. Details on ticket purchases will be discussed in the next subheading.
• Make sure to read and follow the health protocols applicable at Gaikindo 2022.

2. Surabaya (September 14 - 18, 2022)

After being held in Tangerang, GIIAS will be held again in Surabaya. Here are the details of the GIIAS Surabaya schedule this year:

3. Medan (October 5 - 9, 2022)

The next city is Medan. Here is the venue for GIIAS in Medan:

Ticket Prices (HTM) for GIIAS 2022 and How to Buy

Tickets for the GIIAS 2022 exhibition can only be purchased online through the Auto360 application.

The ticket price (HTM) for GIIAS this year is the same as last year, which is Rp 50 thousand for weekdays visits, and Rp 100 thousand for weekend visits.

If you want to buy tickets via the Auto360 application, please download the app by following these steps:

• Open the Play Store or App Store, then search for the Auto360 application. Once found, please download the app.
• Open the app and click “Join,” then fill in your personal data. Starting from name, email, to phone number.
• Later, the Auto360 application will send an activation link to your email. Click the link to be able to use the Auto360 application.

After the app is downloaded, you can directly buy tickets for GIIAS 2022 by following these steps:

• Open the Auto360 app and log in.
• Click “Exhibition Ticket” in the “Home” menu of the Auto360 app.
• Select the type of ticket you want to buy, then click the “Buy” option.
• Specify the date and time of your visit, as well as the number of tickets you want to purchase.
• Fill in your personal data and read the statement if you have received the Covid-19 vaccine and have a vaccination certificate in the PeduliLindungi app. After reading, please check the approval box in the statement.
• Select the payment method you want to use, then make the payment according to the selected payment method.
• Wait a moment until the app sends the tickets to your email.

On the ticket you receive, there is a QR Code that you must show when attending GIIAS.

List of New Cars at GIIAS 2022

According to the third chairman and the organizer of Gaikindo, Rizwan Alamsjah, this year's GIIAS will showcase technological innovations from various automotive lines and brands, especially from four-wheeled vehicles or cars.

“This year GIIAS will be more festive because it presents various automotive innovations. With the participation of the latest car brands and those returning to the Indonesian automotive market, there will also be more automotive technologies and products to be showcased,” he said via the official Gaikindo website[1].

One of the new car brands that will be present at the GIIAS 2022 exhibition is Daihatsu. They plan to showcase one new car product. The name of the product has not been mentioned, but Sri Agung Handayani provided a little hint. The Marketing Director and Corporate Planning
