Four-wheeled vehicles are personal transportation that have many components within them. Like other types of vehicles, cars can also potentially experience damage.

One component that usually encounters problems is the battery. So, what are the signs that a car battery is not charging? 

1. No Starter Sound When the Engine is Turned On 

Generally, the condition of a battery that is not charging can be identified by the starter sound not functioning normally. This is an indication that there is a problem with the battery part of your four-wheeled vehicle. 

If damage occurs, the car will not be able to run because the battery is an important component for the car's electrical system. 

Unlike other types of vehicles such as motorcycles, there are still other ways to start it by using a kick start. 

So, if the car battery has problems or damage, it will certainly disrupt your journey. In fact, this can cause your four-wheeled vehicle to not operate optimally. 

2. Battery Appears Swollen 

One sign that a car battery is not charging is that the battery will appear swollen. This can happen due to damage within the battery charging elements. 

The electric current that should be supply to various other components will be blocked and cause the battery to heat up, resulting in swelling.

3. Battery Water Appears Murky 

In addition to the battery appearing swollen, you can also identify the indication of a battery not charging from the battery water. If you are still using a wet battery, you can try to open the battery cap. 

If the battery water is murky, then the charging process is not functioning properly. To resolve this, you can replace it with a new battery. 

4. Lights and Horn Do Not Function 

Another sign that a car battery is not charging is that the horn and lights do not turn on properly. As it is known that the function of the battery is to store electricity that will be used for starting the car or other engine functions. 

Therefore, if your four-wheeled vehicle does not want to start and the horn and lights do not function properly, there may be a problem with the battery. 

Because electricity cannot flow to all other parts of the car. If this happens, it is advisable to take it to the nearest workshop for proper handling. 

However, if you feel you are already skilled in repairing car engines, it is best to check it to see if there is damage or other issues that are not correct. 

If you have ensured that the problem is not from the signs of a car battery not charging, there may be damage to other components such as the alternator in the four-wheeled vehicle.
